Fields of Gold & Emerald Envy
DSC05733.jpg

Sunday was such a beautifully sunny day! It actually felt like a proper mediterranean summer! We teamed up with the very talented creative photographer Joshua Bradwell and went to Scadbury park for a 'mosey' around. It's such a beautiful park right near our house which we'd never discovered before. Beautiful fields of bright yellow flowers and acres of green land. A perfect picnic spot and a super fun day out :)! This shoot was quite different from our other shoots in so much that the photos are of much higher quality and have a more artistic feel as Josh is most comfortable shooting landscapes and unmoving & unmovable objects, as he puts it!  Check out his website as he is an extremely talented photographer www.joshuabradwell.com  and we will definately be shooting with him again!

Think sun, rooftops, urban, city, London, retro, BBqs, drinks!! #WatchThisSpace

Black on Black

It's fair to say that black has always been our favourite colour. It's timeless, flattering for the figure and goes with pretty much everything! We've always been the type to dress according to comfort and mood, and black is always a thumbs up! These outfits can be dressed up or down, not sure about you guys but we'd wear these outfits during the day or for an evening soiree with a few accessories to glam it up. What's your favourite outfit from the below?

New Year, New Start!
Screen-Shot-2015-04-03-at-13.28.58.png

It's a little late, but I thought this year,  I would write down my new year's resolutions, by publishing them on my blog surely means i have to stick to them right?  So i'm going to try that extra bit harder to make them count. Hopefully by the end of 2015 i'll be able to gladly cross each and every one off with ease.

1)

Say yes to more things... ( I don't mean everything, but you get the jist) 2014 was a great year, but at times i became aware of how often i would decline offers to do things whether it be a party, weekend away, or even small things like a drink with a friend....i found myself turning more things down than not! Subconsciously i was spending more time in my little bubble and kept shutting new experiences out... Well this year, I'm going to make the most of everything. Carpe diem and all...

2)

Get fit... Yes I say this every year, but I really mean it, I want to eat well, train well feel good and look even better! ( Slightly shallow but hey ho!)

3)

Work hard! Since landing my first serious job, i feel like now more than ever,  i know what it is i want to do, and therefore time to buckle down, work hard and visualize!

4)

Travel to more places. This ties into number one, but i want to visit more cities. I'm fortunate enough to be well travelled, but it's true that the more you travel the itchier feet you get... One place I really want to go to this year, and only if it's for a long weekend is Stockholm!

Sunday strolls

I love the kind of Sundays where you wake up feeling fresh (not hungover) and have a productive day! Well this Sunday was one of them..

We took a stroll over to Greenwich, checked out the markets, marvelled over the Cutty Sark and had a spot of food at Jamie's Italian. Looooovely! :)

Hungry for change

I thought I would write about something completely off topic but something that has had a resounding impact on my lifestyle for the past couple of months. If this post nurtures any curiosity then I'm really glad. If not then....Mmmm... carry on eating your snickers, burgers and fizzy drinks! Ha

I went to a friends house a while back and she insisted that I watch a documentary called Hungry For Change.

I decided to give it a go and WOW...It sure is an eye-opener. It focuses on the shocking secrets the food industry keeps hidden; deceptive strategies to ensure the food industry produces more and more money. I recommend it to everyone who is keen on living a healthier life or wants to understand the impact food has on an individual. Trust me it's pretty incredible. I sometimes don't understand why nutrition isn't taught at school as it is a fundamental part of living.

Since watching the documentary I really have been hungry for change. I've been using my Nutribullet to make green juices on a regular basis. After two weeks of drinking juices my skin started glowing, I had unintentionally lost weight and I had not one craving for sweets or chocolate (which for me is a bloody miracle.)

Just remember the greener the better! Kale, spinach, avocado, broccoli the whole lot has an abundance of nutritional value. Not only this but when you drink the juice it goes directly into your blood stream with the nutrients feeding your body cells within 10/15 minutes. This is all done without your body having to exert effort on digestion and assimilation.

Shove it all in a blender and combine it with water and fruit of your choice either bananas, berries, pear, apples- you can't really go wrong!

I'm not saying go teetotal- as that would be pretty dull right?!  I just think we as a generation need to be more aware about what we put in our mouths.

Remember the saying.. 'You Are What You Eat'

Well.... I couldn't agree more!

Happy eating guys =)

Art 14

Last week me and Lo were invited down to Art 14: London's new modern and contemporary art fair.  The art work showcased the raw talent of different artists around the globe. Many of which were beautifully creative and fascinating. Below are a few pieces we really liked :)
