OTT fabulous with the Muse.tv
IMG-20121018-WA000.jpg

On the 8th of October, Jordan and I went up to Covent garden to shoot a small fashion piece for the Muse.Tv (http://www.themuse.tv/). The video was shot in Rokit vintage shop(http://www.rokit.co.uk/) and the aim was to search around, picking the most over exaggerated, fabulous vintage pieces, and creating an outfit out of them!
As you can see, the outfits we picked were indeed VERY over the top, but for those fashionista's who like to go OTT and prove no limits to the crazy outfits they can pull off, I recommend some of the quirky items and outfits we picked out!

It was a great day =) ( apart from fainting and getting sick half way through the shoot! OOPS! probably the reason why i'm so white and withered by the end of the video haha!) but it was indeed, a lot of fun and everyone at the Muse.tv were brilliant! =) Check out the link below for the video...

See ya next time Musers***

Matt Cardle Interview

A couple of weeks back , Jordan and I managed to grab a cheeky interview with the one and only winner of X Factor 2010, Matt Cardle! The interview took place at 34 Montagu square, previous house to Jimi Hendrix and his manager, and where John Lennon and Paul McCartney recorded various demos! ooooohh
We caught up with him about his new album release and about his experiences on the x factor.
He was really lovely and down to earth and a great pleasure to interview!
Catch his amazing new album 'The fire' out on the 29th of October!

Laughing Boy

A few weeks back on a Monday evening, Jordan and I graced our presence (hehe) at London's best stand up comedy night 'Laughing boy', an event that takes place at the Brick House, hosted by the extremely funny and Charming Jamie Howard.
Laughing boy has been established over the years as London's finest urban stand up comedy night, showcasing upcoming and established talents from the music industry to the comedy circuit.
Having had acts such as Jessie J and Ed Sheeran peforming in its small but chique venue, you are surely guaranteed a night of pure entertainment and laughter- also a great place to bump into or meet rising talents and dance the night away to live music.
That evening we were lucky enough to witness acts and music from Josh Mackenzie, better known as  Labrinth's older brother, non the less, a man of many talents himself. He is also recognized as the UK's finest drummer, working alongside household names such as Lily Allen, Tini Tempah and Wretch 32,- By golly gosh, Josh (aka Mcknasty, as we discovered!) is a very established musician.
We managed to grab a sneaky interview with him after his fabulous performance, where he let us into the secrets of his mysterious backpack, the low down on Labrinth and his hidden talents!

Josh was absolutley lovely and a real pleasure to talk too, the interview itself stemmed half the laughs of the night!

Comedians that performed on the night were Tom Deacon, one of the hottest, young stand-ups on the circuit today, who had us all in fits. He was absolutley hilarious and I'm certain he is going to be massive, he's already hosting his own show on BBC Radio 1, which broadcasts every sunday from 7-9pm...check it out!

Another comedian who performed was Kay Kurd, very new to the comedy scene, but non the less a witty character whose jokes about being from a Kurdish background made the crowd giggle.
Funny enough, both Jordan and I already knew him from the Kiss 100 Chosen one presenting competition in 2010, as we had all reached the finals together! We also managed to grab an interview with him after his performance, where we all had an "accent off"- talking in our American , Scottish, Irish and Australian accents!

The night however, would not have been the same without Jamie Howard, whose hosting skills kept the crowd thoroughly entertained through his extremely dry humor and painfully sarcastic jokes.
All I can say is that it's a shame the event doesn't take place every Monday, as more frequented nights at the laughing boy, would be sure to lift the spirits of those many dull, solemn faces that dread the full working week ahead!

My Flash Trash sample sale

On Fridy, Me and Jordan took a trip to Poland street in Soho, to Apartment 58, for the sample sale of 'My Flash Trash' a fantastic online jewelry boutique. We were overwhelmed by an amazing collection of jewelry, from some of the top jewelry designers and all at a great discount, some pieces up to 80% off!
To top this off,  complimentary cupcakes, cocktails , manicures and massages were all on offer. However, just to our luck , by the time we arrived (a bit late, oops!) all the goodies and offers had gone!! Not even the last crumb of cupcake or final drips of sparkly champagne were on offer.
However, this did not, in the slightest, dampen our spirits (although a red velvet cupcake could have made it perfection! ;)) as all of the jewelry pieces were bloody brilliant, if you don't mind me saying. Some of my favorite pieces were from the designer Tatty Devine, whose unique and exciting designs are greatly art- infused, 99% of the pieces being hand-made.
The picture on the right is an example of one the designs, a plastic imitation of a pringle or a baked crisp pending from a silver chain. So simple but so creative and funky, and for those food lovers, an absolute must purchase!
The other necklace on the left, also designed by Tatty Devine is another fantastic piece. Simple, but with potential to brighten up a plain T-shirt on a rainy day =).

Flash Trash itself  have their own collection of Jewelry, whose pieces (all under £20) prove to be trendy, affordable and unique. Some of their pieces on offer, included brightly colored festival feather headdresses, perfect for quirking up a festival outfit, as well as funky flashtrash bracelets, bright and bold!

It was also really great to catch up with our friend, Anna Lewis, who has just started working at My flash Trash, and provided us with all the juicy goss on  the coolest and newest jewelry trends. Brilliant sample sale and a definite thumbs up for this one-stop online shop jewelry boutique, whose unique pieces illustrate quirky, artsy and trendy styles, all of which are available to order instantaneously to all parts of the globe!
