Sunday strolls

I love the kind of Sundays where you wake up feeling fresh (not hungover) and have a productive day! Well this Sunday was one of them..

We took a stroll over to Greenwich, checked out the markets, marvelled over the Cutty Sark and had a spot of food at Jamie's Italian. Looooovely! :)

Sweet Potato Saturdays

On a gloomy day there's nothing better than going for a country walk(changing clothes whilst doing so haha), going to the pub and indulging in sweet potato fries! It may look like I have jaundice in these photos but rest assure it's just a filter on my phone.

Happy Saturday's y'all! xx

Hungry for change

I thought I would write about something completely off topic but something that has had a resounding impact on my lifestyle for the past couple of months. If this post nurtures any curiosity then I'm really glad. If not then....Mmmm... carry on eating your snickers, burgers and fizzy drinks! Ha

I went to a friends house a while back and she insisted that I watch a documentary called Hungry For Change.

I decided to give it a go and WOW...It sure is an eye-opener. It focuses on the shocking secrets the food industry keeps hidden; deceptive strategies to ensure the food industry produces more and more money. I recommend it to everyone who is keen on living a healthier life or wants to understand the impact food has on an individual. Trust me it's pretty incredible. I sometimes don't understand why nutrition isn't taught at school as it is a fundamental part of living.

Since watching the documentary I really have been hungry for change. I've been using my Nutribullet to make green juices on a regular basis. After two weeks of drinking juices my skin started glowing, I had unintentionally lost weight and I had not one craving for sweets or chocolate (which for me is a bloody miracle.)

Just remember the greener the better! Kale, spinach, avocado, broccoli the whole lot has an abundance of nutritional value. Not only this but when you drink the juice it goes directly into your blood stream with the nutrients feeding your body cells within 10/15 minutes. This is all done without your body having to exert effort on digestion and assimilation.

Shove it all in a blender and combine it with water and fruit of your choice either bananas, berries, pear, apples- you can't really go wrong!

I'm not saying go teetotal- as that would be pretty dull right?!  I just think we as a generation need to be more aware about what we put in our mouths.

Remember the saying.. 'You Are What You Eat'

Well.... I couldn't agree more!

Happy eating guys =)

A white summer
Screen-Shot-2015-04-03-at-13.32.29.png

This Summer I've raided my wardrobe on countless occasions in the hope of finding the perfect summer attire. I usually opt for a casual slip on dress paired with some birkenstocks, the casual but chic kinda look...Unfortunately I'm really lacking in the dress department this Summer, so have resorted to wearing a number of different shirt/ short combinations in lovely icy white and pastel pink colours.

My love affair with white continues to grow, from clothing to interior, the recurring theme below embodies the colours simplistic elegance and effortless nature- Definitely my go to colour this Summer.

If in doubt- wear white!

A Tuesday in Gilli

For the past month Loanne and I embarked on an adventure of a lifetime! Our travels commenced in the beautiful  depths of Phuket in Thailand. Thailand was a short visit over to see my dad who emigrated there six years ago (Not too shabby).  With the beautiful beaches, exquisite cuisine and tropical climate, our days were spent relaxing in the pool, sipping on fruity cocktails and eating local thai curries. After ten days we made our way over to the beautiful land of Bali where we travelled around for four weeks exploring hidden waterfalls, active volcanoes, beautiful wildlife, stunning scenery, extraordinary cultures, crazy parties, awesome surfers, epic company and incredible islands.

Three girls on the trip of a life time and it looked a bit like this...

Art 14

Last week me and Lo were invited down to Art 14: London's new modern and contemporary art fair.  The art work showcased the raw talent of different artists around the globe. Many of which were beautifully creative and fascinating. Below are a few pieces we really liked :)
