kahlo

So I recently stumbled upon Australian fashion label Kahlo and was amazed that I had never heard of it before!
The fashion label is distinguished by its simplistic and classic designs with a slightly androgynous edge. I'm a real sucker for simplistic yet timeless pieces that showcases an effortless look, and Kahlo seems to do just that!
Founded in 2011 by two close friends Rachelle Sinclair and Fay Ogunbadejo, the label draws inspiration from observation, art and travel. Symbolizing the characteristics of strength, simplicity and perfection, the name KAHLO and the label itself embodies the own personalities of the designers and what they wish to portray in everyday life.
I know exactly what I'll be doing when I head to Aussie in a few weeks! ;)

Ellie Goulding- 'Halcyon' album review
ellie-goulding.jpg

With the release of Ellie Goulding's second album 'Halcyon' last month, I've constantly been hearing various songs on her album, be it through advertisements, music blogs, TV shows: 'Later with Jools Holland', and I have to admit, it is blooody BRILLIANT, I absolutely LOVE it. It's even better than her first album, where her folk-pop inspired tracks are now challenged and  take on a more mature and haunting arrangement, with  her lead single 'Anything could happen' being filled with strong, electrical beats.

However, it is the track 'Only you' that really caught my attention on this brilliant new album, with her mix up of genres including country-flecked guitars with indie-pop synths and bluesy piano lines, absolute tunnne!Check out this 90 second preview out of the new video clip:

This is the video from her lead single: 'Anything can happen' which i'm sure a lot have heard, but i'm also a fan of the video, with its alien-like futuristic theming. Enjoooyyyyyy =):

One thing is for sure, these songs really grow on you!! Greattt work Ellie.

So Fraiche Street Look

Last month, Jordan and I shot a promo video for Sofraiche's (www.sofraiche.com) new concept: Street Look. This involved us having a fun day up in London around brick lane, talking to people about their styles, having a chat to singer Mikkil Payne, having a good old boogey , as it was brick lane music festival that weekend, and everybody was dancing madly in the streets. Twas a fun day out indeed. =) Check out the video to have a sneaky peak of us being introduced as the new presenters for So Fraiche's Street Look:

Owl City Interview

Most well known for his hit single 'Fireflies' that went global a couple of years back,
Adam was a very sleepy guy when I went to meet him in the studio, a couple of months back...
Having just finished his snickers and coffee we spoke about working at gas stations, being likened to a Polar bear and his attraction to Carly Rae Jepson!

Check out the interview :)

Paloma Faith Interview

While shopping today I took a little trip into HMV and picked up 'Paloma Faith's' album 'Fall to Grace' and remembered just how fab it was meeting her a couple of months back!

She was such a lovely, quirky little character- no wonder she likened herself to Jessica Rabbit in the interview!
As a major style icon, I had to get the low-down on what she was wearing, and by gosh I was surprised when she told me all her items were High street numbers! Her top and trousers were from H&M , shoes from New Look and hat purchased on Ebay!

Anyhoo I highly recommend her album 'Fall to Grace'- she's one talented cookie :)
